In verschillende threads (o.a. van Rob Breumelhof) zag ik dat er gesproken werd over het gerucht dat er alsnog 3.500 aanvragen die voor 23 september in final stages of processing waren afgehandeld zullen worden. Het lijkt me handig om dat in een nieuw topic te zetten, omdat er nogal wat op het spel staat voor velen. Zo ook voor ons (176 MODL SS NSW). Wij hebben in augustus Medicals en VOG aangeleverd en waren ook in de final stages.

Het laatste nieuws dat ik gelezen heb is dat DIAC de geruchten op papier aan het zetten is zodat ze volgende week met een officieel bericht kunnen komen. Het zou dan gaan om aanvragen die voor 23 september in final stages waren, dus reeds Medicals en VOG ingediend, ASCO codes 1 t/m 3, dus geen trades.

Wordt een weekendje bidden tot de Grote Visum God

Wij zitten in het zelfde schuitje als julie: Wij hebben onze medicals begin September ingediend...
Gelukking valt mijn beroep onder de ASCO codes 1 t/m 3, dus als dat gedeelte van het gerucht (ook) waar is, dan nog zouden wij tot die gelukkig groep van 3500 behoren... (ALS het allemaal waar is natuurlijk...het blijven geruchten!!)

Dus we proberen niet te ver op de zaken vooruit te lopen en inderdaad heel veel bidden en hopen dat de geruchten kloppen!! (en dit snel horen!!)

Wordt een lang weekend ben ik bang....

BELANGRIJKE UPDATE:

Een aantal mensen hebben vandaag (30 December 2009) een gesprek gehad met een hoog geplaatst persoon (David Wilden) binnen de DIAC, die gevestigd is in Londen.
Tijdens dit gesprek is het volgende verteld:

Hi All

At the meeting with David Wilden at Australia House today, we were told as follows:

All the applications in hand from people in Categories 1 - 4 as listed in the FAQ of 23rd September 2009 are now under control.

DIAC estimate that there are about 3,500 applications in Category 5 - that is, State sponsored but the main applicant's occupation is not on the CSL. Mr Wilden has been told that DIAC are now in a position to make a start on processing the Cat 5 applications.



Mr Wilden said as follows:
Roughly 3,500 is the number of actual visa applications, not the number of people involved. (I checked this with him specifically and he was definite about it.)
They will start to process the Cat 5s according to the dates when the visa applications were lodged and they will deal with the oldest applications first.
They will make no distinctions between the different visa subclasses - first come, first served means what it implies in a situation where the occupation is not on the CSL but the applicant does have State sponsorship.
There is no foundation to the rumour that tradies may be excluded from Cat 5 processing - the tradies are to be treated identically to people whose occupations are in ASCO Groups 1-3.
Mr Wilden said that we have had him up late at night and out of bed before the birds in order to phone his colleagues in Australia to discover exactly what the plans are for the Category 5s because he had seen from Poms in Oz that everyone is particularly worried about this question in particular.

Mr WIlden stressed that he cannot say how long it will take to clear the backlog of about 3,500 Cat 5 applications. As & when they receive further applications from people with greater claim to priority, the applications with greater priority will be dealt with first.

The Famous Five were all PiO members (DanB1, Floater, Gollywobbler, RonnieRocket and Watneyni to put us in alphabetical order.) We were all sitting round the same table with Mr Wilden and we all heard him say exactly the same things. (Needless to say we repaired to a London hostelry afterwards to compare notes - thanks very much indeed to Watneyni for very kindly buying a round of drinks for us all.)

We were joined unexpectedly by a very helpful young man called Andrew. He has worked at the ASPC for a while but he is now in the UK, working with John Adams RMA at Immigration2Oz.com Andrew is not a PiO member [yet] but I am trying to encourage him/twist his arm! Andrew was involved with this part of the discussion so he heard Mr Wilden as well.

That they can't say how long it will take to clear the 3,500 or so Cat 5 applications is reasonable enough. Mr Wilden promised to find out how many of the 108,100 skilled PR & Provisional visas for 2009/10 have been granted as at 30th November 2009 and he said he will let us know as soon as he knows. Once we have that figure it will probably be possible to start making reasonably sensible guesses.

After the meeting the Famous Five agreed that this information is probably the most significant piece of info from today and that we would get it onto the forum with all possible speed, in its own thread to make it stand out.

Nu ga ik dus alleen nog maar meer hopen op een State sponsorship, met mijn aanvraag van 28 juli 2008, kan het dan ook nog best snel gaan. Helaas nog geen nieuws, en dus is de kans op GEEN sponsorship nog groter dan de kans dat ik die wel krijg...

“The Department is processing applications according to Ministerial Direction No. 42 - Order of consideration - certain Skilled Migration visas. The Department anticipates that a small number of State sponsored non-CSL applications will be finalised this program year. Finalisations will focus on applications where health and character checks have been requested by the case officer.”

He fijn zeg!i tought so... en ik hoopte het vooral. Nou ik wacht met spanning af op jullie berichtjes waarin staat VISA GRANTED!

Hier heb ik ook wat info wat op de Poms in Oz website stond, er zijn vanuit die site gisteren een aantal mensen naar de Australia House in London gegaan, hier de update:

Dat is anders als dat ze alleen de mensen gaan benaderen die al gevraagd zijn om health en medical checks... Ben benieuwd wat ze nu gaan doen; zich richten op mensen die in de laatste fase van de aanvraag zitten (in cat 5) of zich op alle aanvragen voor deze catagorie richten... Ik zelf hoop het laatste stiekem (dan mogen de mensen die in de final stage zitten van mij wel voor hoor ), want dat zou betekenen dat ALS ik een positieve state sponsorship krijg, het voor mij ook nog positief zou kunnen uitpakken.
Hoe dan ook voor een aantal van hier is het zeker goed nieuws en hoop ik dat ze snel een visum hebben!!!

Zojuist hebben wij de bevestiging van DIAC ontvangen dat zij ook 'State Sponsored'-visumaanvragen waarvan het beroep niet op de CSL staat, maar waarvan de 'case officer' wel al verzocht heeft om de VOG/Uittreksel uit het strafregister en om de medische keuring te ondergaan, nog dit financiële jaar zal gaan afhandelen!

De officiële tekst van DIAC luidt als volgt:

Hoe vaag (ambtelijk) dit bericht ook is, het is in ieder geval érg goed nieuws voor al degenen die op dit bericht zaten te wachten en tevens het bewijs dat alle acties succes hebben gehad.

Zodra er meer concreet nieuws bekend wordt gemaakt dan laat ik het jullie uiteraard direct weer weten.

Wat ik me even afvroeg in het algemeen... tijdens het forum uitje heb ik een poos zitten praten met "Dagmar" die waren toch ook al ver met hun aanvraag en hadden ook een state sponsorship voor de ACT? Ik zie hun niet meer of het forum...

Zouden ze zich toch een beetje geschaamd hebben daar bij het DIAC? ( TERECHT!! )

@ Kathren, ik zat ook te denken hoe het met Dagmar zou zijn, en ik heb haar zus gesproken en het gaat nu weer goed met ze, ze zal hopelijk binnenkort weer op het forum verschijnen.Dan kan ze het zelf vertellen,ik weet niet of het al iets definitief is....

Het visum is binnen! We werden vanmorgen gebeld door onze agent dat ons visum akkoord is. First entry date is 3 september 2010.

Gelukkig wordt de soep van 23 september niet zo heet gegeten als die werd opgediend!!!
